Day Trips / Family / Festivals / Kent / Travel / Whitstable

The weather picked up the last few days after many rainy days this month.  On Sunday I went out to Faversham with my boyfriend to have lunch with his parents and meet some more of his family.

Here is an updated picture of his mum’s garden.  It was originally pictured here.

After lunch we took the train to the fishing and harbour town of Whitstable. There was an oyster festival and beautiful weather, good enough reason to roam around the town.

If you have a rail card, or can travel with someone who has a rail card then train fare return (off-peak) is around £15, if not fare will be closer to £21. Definitely worth the trip.
